Campbells Tokay Classic Rutherglen

Campbells Tokay Classic Rutherglen 375ml
Sku: 1017399

7 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?

This classification is the foundation of the style; displaying the fresh aromas, rich fruit, clean spirit and great length of flavour on the palate, which are the mark of all the Tokays of Rutherglen. The Tokays of Rutherglen bear a mark of authenticity – an oval logotype with a stylised ”R” – which is only applied to the wines drawn from the great vineyards of the region. The ”Tokay of Rutherglen” trademark assures the highest quality of wine exclusively sourced from the Rutherglen Wine Region. Campbell’s ‘house style’ is typically complex and elegant, capturing a rich purity of fruit flavours

Tasting notes
Colour: Deep, brilliant old gold.

Bouquet: Lifted toffee, honey and cold tea characters combine to produce the unique character of Rutherglen Tokay.

Palate: Toffee and tealeaf characters predominate on the front of the palate with a cleansing hint of spirit and old oak on the finish.

Best Buys from Australia. ”The average age of Campbells’ luxury blends is around 50 years, and the less expensive offerings are between 5-30 years of age. These stunning cuvees represent good values for what they are. The non-vintage Tokay (Muscadelle) reveals a lighter amber color in addition to burnt/roasted notes of camphor, scorched earth, prunes, figs, caramel, and marmalade. Its full-bodied sweetness is beautifully balanced by acidity

Light tawny in color, beguiling for its sweet, spicy, generous range of flavors, offering dried apricot, pear and vanilla notes with touches of exotic spice as they echo effortlessly. Drink now. 500 cases imported.

Deep gold, sweet and syrupy, featuring caramelized pineapple, burnt marshmallow and gentle spice flavors that play out with finesse. Muscadelle. Drink now.—H.S.
